Best Smartphone 2012 – Samsung Galaxy Nexus Performance Hands-On :
here isn’t much else I can add to the many 5-star reviews here – but I do want to mention a couple of things. First of all, mine is clearlly a 9020T, marked that way both on the package and under the battery cover. As several other reviewers have mentioned, make sure that you order yours from Amazon LLC and not one of their other suppliers if you want to ensure you get a 9020T. The display is absolutely beautiful and the phone feels more solid than I thought it would. That said, I’m not thrilled with the pop-off battery cover – it seems fairly strong and I have to assume both Samsung and Google tested it. Replacement covers are plentiful and reasonable on *-bay so I’m going to order a replacement just in case. I’m also surprised and happy with how Samsung implemented the SIM card slot – I recently damaged another phone by using a micro-sim card adaptor. The Nexus S is well designed in this regard and you don’t have to worry about swapping out SIM cards. Overall, I am 100% pleased with this phone so far and highly recommend it.

Permission to use granted by Nokia Taiwan! Nokia just presented the Nokia N9 smartphone which is the result of Nokia’s MeeGo effort. The device is rumored to run on MeeGo Harmattan and ship in Q3 to folks in Europe and boast a 960 x 540 screen resolution. These facts sadly weren’t confirmed during the press event however they did give quite an impressive walk through of many of the operating system features.
First off the hardware is stunning, the glass fits seamlessly and curves over the bezzel, they’ve also included swipe gestures for navigation so there is no need for a home key. Regarding the hardware the screen polycarbonate is the same colour through out so if it scratches they wont be visible. Also, the screen material used is designed to give great antena reception so you won’t have to hold it in any special manner to ensure great quality. (This was a nice quite dig at Apple and the only one I picked up at during the walk through, good job keeping it classy Nokia!) The inclusion of NFC is also a nice touch for pairing of devices as well as jumping on the mobile payment bandwagon in a timely manner.

I try to think of exciting and interesting gifts for people…
This is the second time since my wedding that I have gotten my father to do something… a bit out of his norm… At our wedding – on the *morning of my wedding* I got Dad to go Scuba diving – Something I never thought he would do… Everything went great – had a great time diving and a perfect wedding ceremony a few hours later (the girls went to the spa.. I think we had more fun) – Flash forward a couple years… Marriage is going great – We now have a new little one.. Pushing 9 months old… It was my first fathers day, the girls took me to the Shedd Aquarium and the day after (Grandfathers Day?) we took my Dad to Autobahn – Most of the family came out for it. My Wife Connie, Stepmother Terry, Brother Jesse, and of course the Grandkids Keira, and Sean… Oh and Izzy came too! 
The guy who ran the day for FVMS allowed me to go out with Dad towards end of day… Not knowing what to expect I didn’t bring a camera – he did a couple laps – and pretty fast ones at that, so I had him pull in and grabbed my little MinoHD Flip camera. In the beginning the reason it is in my lap was as we went to start out I hid it away so I could sneak it out there… and then I realized I didn’t have my seatbelt on (I’m not used to having a helmet + a seatbelt on)

I imagine I am biased, but I think this was the coolest fathers day and post fathersday day I have ever had!
